SEVEN THINGS IN HELL NEEDED IN EVERY CHURCH

SEVEN THINGS IN HELL NEEDED IN EVERY CHURCH

Text: Luke 16:19-31

By: Bob Daughtry

I. A CONSCIOUSNESS OF A LITERAL BURNING HELL

We need to be conscious of the fact that our loved ones die without Christ will go to Hell.

II. A COMPASSION THAT WILL BRING TEARS

Before revival comes to our churches we are going to have to revive the amen corner, and see some tears of concern.

III. A CONFESSION THAT WILL BRING MERCY

Here is a man who waited too late to cry out for mercy. Even though a child of God will never go to Hell, they can suffer untold misery which out of God’s will. Read I John 1:7-9.

IV. A COMMITMENT TO THE FIRE

Just as much as this rich man was committed to the fire of Hell, we as believers should be committed to the fire of God. We need His fire burning in our souls to reach a lost humanity. In many lives the fires of God is not aglow.

V. A CHANNEL OF COMMUNICATION WITH OUR FATHER

We need to stay on speaking terms with God. There is no other source as real and powerful as prayer. Many only pray when trouble comes.  God help us not use salvation like a spaire tire, only to use in time of need. All can be prayer warriors.

VI. A CONCERN THAT ONLY GOD’S PLAN WILL SAVE

If a man in the pains of Hell cries out for the souls of others, how much should we who are saved and enjoy the blessing of God be concerned for those who are lost.

VII. A CONSENT THAT ONLY GOD’S PLAN WITH SAVE

Many people have set up their own plan to be saved. Some trust water baptism, a ceremony, joining some church group, good works, and many other things to be saved. Read Acts 4:14; John 14:6; Romans 6:23; John 1:12-13, many other scriptures show this truth.
